zosianicola's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dog regression Ohmigosh the dogs lost so much discipline by being boarded last week. They are wild puppies again. They've forgotten how to heel, how to behave in the car, how to just lie down and go to sleep. Oboy scrabbles fiercely at the bottom of his crate trying to soften it up for sleeping---though he could sleep anywhere---must have been frustrating sleeping on the hard surfaces at the kennel. They seem to be worried we'll disappear; they try to stay glued to our sides. They are zoned out on the kitchen floor now but if they were to hear any sound, any sound at all, they would be up and bouncing around freaking out. The peacocks down the street are doing a lot of calling. Must be mating season? The dogs are mysteriously imperceptive of this particular sound---but phones, computers, bells, birds (other birds) dogs, any kind of clicking or tapping, and watch out, here come two huge puppies barrelling down the hall...(Bobo is now 70.5# and Oboy is 50.3#) They have graduated to being allowed throughout the house, at least when we are here. They are not so interested in eating rugs anymore---though this morning P-dog caught them in the living room destroying a pastry cloth (worth oh $2) Don't want to go back to work. how many weeks are left? Only 4 lecture weeks, plus 2 review and exam weeks....guess I'll make it 10:31 a.m. - 2007-03-18 ---------------------------------------------------------
