zosianicola's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- its all wild First day. Exhausted. 80 students. took pix of every one. labeled the pix tonight. took 2 hours. puppy very bouncy and naughty. i had to pitch him into his crate for a time out. i had him on his back for a dominance exercise, because he was chewing a box that he must not chew and is too big to move, and he refused to stop chewing it. i had him on his back and he bit me. not playfully either, not that puppy kind of biting. i tossed him in his crate (really don't want to use the crate for punishment but I was using it to keep myself from killing him) turned out the lights and moved into an adjacent room (from which he is generally barred) and turned on some celtic music. he didn't cry or whine so i let him out 5 minutes later, turned on the lights, returned to the adjacent room and now he is being sedate. Back to working on glossaries and quizzes and photos. Oh, I hired a terrific couple to come visit puppy at lunch on TUesday and thursday, my heavy teaching days. TERRIFIC couple. i checked all their business papers and called their references. i am better at this than i was when i had to find day care. Oh, Bill, forgive me for that one day i left you at that bad day care in state college Pennsylvania for 2 hours---you were such a beautiful one-year-old, now you are a theoretical physicist. dottir driving to TX from MN; arrived in TX today (way up north ca Dallas), i will see her Thursday maybe 9:08 p.m. - 2006-08-22 --------------------------------------------------------- leisure activity today:
