zosianicola's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sick day i'm home with gastroenteritis. I was supposed to give the last BIology lecture today (it's dead week but we wasted a lecture hour last week doing a lab review) and listen to the last of the Biochem kids' drug action presentations. I'm lucky it's dead week and there is a builtin day for making this up. but i'm not lucky because i am miserable. im dehydrated but theres nothing in the house that i can keep down. im making some applesauce from the gala apples in the apple bowl---not the right kind of apples but they;ll do Mydog has been a sweetheart since I got sick. He just sits or lies on the floor right next to where i am suffering. except for now, he is sitting and looking at the light switch. i think he noticed for the first time that there is something on the wall that he could chew on. ive spent 35 hours now either in bed or sitting in the papasan chair, and the dog has been next to me almost the whole time. I took him for a little walk yesterday and to play flying squirrel today---until i was too lightheaded to stand out there anymore---does it have to be 32 degrees out there? you know how 32 degrees feels when you have a fever and you are in a down coat---- 8:47 a.m. - 2006-12-05 ---------------------------------------------------------
